Hey You Guys! We’re back with our first release since “Slammers!“, dropping our latest digital single “Goonies Never Die“! Included with the digital single is a B-Side featuring another brand new track “Get Em Boyz“! Both songs were exclusively produced and written by The Instant Messengers and mark the first of many releases scheduled to drop in 2009. Also be sure to watch the music video for “Goonies Never Die” HERE.
Your boys were just featured on Loud Farm. They had some nice things to say. That Black Eyed Peas reference made me laugh. I don’t know if they realize how hood DJ Effective is. Check it out HERE.

This tee has been out for a while. I just ordered mine yesterday. This is the first tee I’ve purchased in almost a year now. I hope the folks that check this site know who Gucci Mane is. The Southern rapper has been locked up since September 2008 for completing only 25 hours of community service of the required 600 he needed to complete for probation. All because he knocked some promoter with a pool cue. Hahaha. I love rappers and rap music. You can read more about this whole ordeal HERE. After the break is some ghetto ass footage of Gucci and OJ da Juiceman vibing next to a ‘Vette while OJ raps “I’m Getting Money”. This is my shit.
San Francisco is our home. And it’s only right that we have a space in our home to make as much noise as we want, and to handle all the business we need to. Something available to us 24 hours a day. A headquarters where we can make music at and practice at any time of the day we choose. This place is now ours. An entire floor of it in an alley off of 6th Street. This is where the magic will happen from here on out.
1AM, FEB 16, 2009. It was down pouring, one of those San Francisco nights where you belong on a bar stool or in a warm bed, I was between the two. I had been enjoying some fine Italian wines at UVA, a small restaurant and wine bar on the lower part of Haight Street. I left the bar at about 1AM, and headed out, directly up Haight Street towards Lyon. I was halfway between Divisadero and Broderick, when I noticed a man walking towards me. As we were passing each other, he suddenly stops, pulls out a gun, and sticks it to my face, firmly against my cheek bone below my right eye.
The West Addy crew and I are opening up at BLOW UP this Friday at Rickshaw Stop with a quick set of mayhem. Come through and watch Alexander Spit raps and underage girls dancing and being too drunk for their own good. Yayer.

Ok, so if you read below, there is a fragmented account of last night’s adventure through the realm of my subconscious. I woke up so thrown off by it, that my aunt and uncle sat me down to talk, they said I gave them a look to be concerned about. I explained to them, to the best of my ability, my vivid and lucid dream. Being that they are both psychologists, professors and in practice, they were quick to psycho analyze the symbolism and apply it to my young mind. Give it a shot and help me navigate my dream world and my waking world.
This is one of the illest videos I’ve peeped in a while. It’s footage of Mistah Fab kicking a freestyle from his hospital bed in Los Angeles. Fab was recently in a major car wreck that almost took his life. This is on some rhyming to the death shit. Plus, homie has been twittering from his hospital bed. Hah. Enjoy.

Fairfax California, for those of you who do not know, doesn’t offer much in terms of the ol’ night life. It was a shame to hear that one of its finest (and one of its only) venues burnt down last night. Irnocily, the band playing last night was called “Hillside Fire”. No one was hurt, thankfully, but a few poeple did lose their homes and businesses. Fire Dept. Cheif commented that the cause was most likely from the upstairs unit (which doubles as a backstage for the bands), and that further investigations were being made. I imagine it will be a good minute before The Instant Messengers will hit the stage in Fairfax. Holla at us 19 Broadway if you need help, hope our good friend the sound man is all good, and that the venue can make a speedy recovery.
